Task 5on Coastal Structures |
Combined all findings of the entire project and recommend design ice
loads for future marine structures and initiated the development of an
EUROCODE
for ice forces.
DescriptionUnder the leadership of the project co-ordinator all partners worked together in order to summarise, evaluate and synthesise the results of the various tasks and subtasks to prepare the final report. The Advisory Committee, which included representatives of Governmental
authorities of the EU countries, European classification societies, European
Oil Companies and at least one representative from Russia contribute to
the validation of the research results and participate in the formulation
of final recommendations. The results of the research project including
the recommendations, were presented to users from industry and science
at a special workshop. This workshop was organised by the LOLEIF Consortium
at the end of the project. Further, recommendations on ice forces on vertical
structures could be the basis for a new EUROCODE on Ice Forces.
Deliverables At the end of the project the recommendations on ice forces on vertical
structures as agreed upon by the LOLEIF Participants and the Advisory Committee
were compiled into a detailed consensus report. This report is kept proprietary
to the participants for two years. A more general final report on the project
will be published as a Special Report of the IAHR's
Ice Committee.
Interdependence All partners within the project co-operated on the recommendations under the leadership of the project co-ordinator. |
