| CARRTEL (Centre Alpin
de Recherche sur les Réseaux Trophiques des Ecosystèmes Limniques
or Alpine Research Center on Trophic Food Webs in Limnic Ecosystems) is
a governmental laboratory recently founded from the merging of a research
laboratory from the University of Savoy (GRETI team, Chambery) and a research
institute from the French Ministry of Agriculture (INRA team, Thonon les
Bains). Each team is located by one of the largest alpine lakes, the Lac
Bourget for the GRETI team and the Lac Leman for the INRA team, to which
most of their ex-periments apply. Before they merge, the two teams have
experienced several years of cooperative projects especially on the Bourget
lake and on the Annecy lake. The scientific production is on average 4
papers per year. Three PhD has been defended during the last three years. |
